| Xiam Announce Launch of Version 4.0 of Content Marketing MPOS Software
14th February 2007
Barcelona February 12th, 2007. Xiam Technologies, pioneer of mobile content marketing solutions, today announced the latest release of its market leading MPOS software at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona.
Xiam’s MPOS software addresses Operators’ need to present relevant content to subscribers over a mobile device where space and time are often limited.
MPOS was first launched at 3GSM two years ago to address the need for a targeted content marketing solution, and since then has enjoyed considerable success in the marketplace, culminating in a number of deals in 2006 including a Tier 1 UK operator who are using the software to present content recommendations to their customers across their entire portal.
MPOS has full capability to dynamically suggest content to the subscriber in real time, providing the user with a meaningful mobile experience and an easier way to discover content. MPOS 4.0 guarantees that it can serve real time recommendations to subscribers on their mobile device within timeframes as low as 50 milliseconds.
MPOS 4.0 brings a number of key enhancements to market among them:
- Recommendations possible by location, price, artist or any attribute which can be specified in the MPOS system.
- Interactive recommendations that allow the user to express their own tastes
- Real time Recommendation in timeframes of <50ms
- Enhanced music marketing using data relationship models that enable music repositories to be effectively catalogued and modeled to recommend on an individual level to music lovers over the mobile channel
- Performance Improvements
- Scalable to Tier 1 operators with 30/40 million subscribers
- 100’s of millions of transactions per month
- Support for MS DRM and OMA DRM in a pre integrated DRM Server
- Extended Search and reporting capability for recommendations and promotions to track success of automated cross selling
CEO of Xiam, Colm Healy comments "In the past two years, we have seen a profound shift in the approach to bringing content to the consumer over the mobile channel – the emphasis has moved away from one of simply delivery to one of assisted discovery – and that is the area that MPOS addresses through targeting recommendations marketing."
Healy said "MPOS 4.0 enables our clients to bring exciting new portal content offerings that will revolutionize how customers perceive the mobile portal. MPOS makes it meaningful for every subscriber, and goes beyond the one-size-fits all mentality."
"MPOS 4.0 is an important evolutionary step for the Xiam’s Content Marketing Product offering, which continues to gain traction worldwide," said Kurt Lillywhite, VP Marketing at Xiam. "Enhancements in MPOS give wireless network operators the ability to deliver customized, differentiated, personalized services to subscribers, while meeting the operational demands for robust, scalable solutions."
