Xiam announces MPOS AdSpace, the solution for one-to-one targeting of adverts for mobile TV and portals.

Dublin, Barcelona, 13-02-06 – Building on the success of the MPOS solution introduces at 3GSM in Cannes in February 2005, MPOS AdSpace is the latest module for the industry leading MPOS retailing platform. MPOS Adspace brings to mobile for the first time the ability to view subscribers as true individuals not just SIM cards or segments. This enables mobile operators to promote not only their products and services, but open advertising space on the mobile phone to third parties introducing a lucrative new revenue stream.
Demographic Targeting
Thanks to the target definition capabilities inherent in the MPOS solution, it is possible to precisely identify a particular market segment given any set of demographic input. Add to that capability MPOS’s proven content management and marketing strengths, and Operators now have the ability to sell advertising space to 3rd party brands to allow them target precise demographic segments in a timely and cost effective manner.
Smart Advertising
MPOS AdSpace gives the advertiser the possibility to understand the exact size of audiences that meet their criteria and expected response rates before the campaign begins. Imagine how valuable this is to a prospective advertiser. No other medium in existence offers the ability to guarantee 100% of the targeted prospects receive the advert.
MPOS allows the advertiser to reach their chosen demographic at the best possible time and in the best possible way. The ability to get to the right demographic nationwide: based on demographic factors such as age, domicile, monthly spending patterns, interests etc.

How does it work?
MPOS AdSpace contains a number a ‘templates’—options from which an Advertiser can choose. Options will include:
- Specific model of sports car – targeted to ABC1 urban males in the 18 to 35 age group with large disposable income.
- Ad positioning – Front page of portal; Clickthroughs from related links; sub links, video streamed adverts when using Mobile TV, etc.
- Budgeting options – Advertiser may set a budget and the ad can run until this budget is exhausted.
- Timing Options – Advertiser can choose when the ads are displayed, the frequency and the amount of time the ad will run for.
- Demographics targeting – an Advertiser can choose the ‘depth’ to which the ad will be targeted. The pricing structure reflects the level of targeting available.
- Inbound Vs Outbound campaigns – an Advertiser may choose to have an outbound campaign run in conjunction with their advertisement. An incremental cost is associated with this service.
- Couponing – an Operator can choose to implement a couponing promotion in conjunction with their advertisement thereby maximising the coverage and value from their advertising spend.
- MPOS AdSpace supports Streaming Content and therefore can be used in conjunction with 3G services such as Mobile TV, video on demand, Pod casting etc.
