Latest Version of MPOS Released

Dublin. Xiam’s research and development team today announced the release of version 1.1 of the MPOS software suite. The release represents extensive R&D to provide new areas of functionality for the MPOS product and a number of enhanced features which make a significant improvements on the last version of the software. Hugh O Donoghue, CTO at Xiam says of the latest release:“We are very excited about this latest release of MPOS and believe it will deliver significant competitive advantage to existing and future MPOS clients”. The new release includes the following new features and functionalities:

• Enhanced support for advanced rights distribution in DRM.
• Enhanced notification of different stages of content download for use in billing and reporting processes.
• Ability to host content stored in external locations.
• Ability to specify when content becomes active and inactive allowing content to be pre-loaded.
• Advanced, dynamic multi-device WAP Storefront.
• Additional operations reports for system activity.
• Custom Attributes, a very powerful feature allowing users to define their own data fields
• Ability to easily configure file extension to MIME type mappings.
• Enhancements in user roles facilitating testing/validating of uploaded content.
• Revenue share split definition and reporting.
• Ability to send WAP Push messages to links to WAP Page hosted by platform. Integrated
• YSIWYG editor with rendering provided. Provides ability to easily create outbound promotions that bring users online where rich content can be shown (e.g. graphics, external links).
• HTTP/XML API for the upload and retrieval of subscriber details. Details include attributes (e.g. device, language, and other fixed or user defined metadata), purchase history, areas of like/dislike and rankings.
