Dublin. Xiam CEO, Colm Healy delivered a keynote speech today at the 2005 International Wireless Conference. Mr Healy, a regular speaker and commentator in the wireless arena, focused on the need for effective retailing in the mobile industry and how mobile operators can best achieve their commercial objectives. The conference featured contributions from acknowledged thought leaders in the Irish Mobile Industry. A panel discussion followed exploring the opportunities for Irish mobile companies going forward and the development issues facing the sector as a whole.

The Conference was opened by Irish Government Minister for State with Special Responsibility for the Information Society, Tom Kitt. The conference underlined the need for better access to funding, greater collaboration between companies and better links with academia.
