Dublin, Budapest. Xiam CEO Colm Healy made up part of an Irish trade delegation to Hungary led by Irish government minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheal Martin.

Mr Healy referred to Xiam’s recent deals in the Hungarian market and recognised the importance of the Hungary within the Central European region. According to Mr Healy “We see Hungary as a pivotal market within the region with significant business opportunities since Hungary’s entry to the EU last year.”

Speaking about Ireland’s growing trade relationship with Hungary, Minister Martin welcomed the fact that ‘[Irish] software companies have particular competitive edges, and a number of companies are globally competitive and have already won a number of contracts’.

Vodafone Hungary deployed Xiam's MPOS Promote product to drive sales of new content and data services. According to Vodafone Hungary CEO Attila Vitai, “The deployment of the Xiam Promote product will further enhance the range of entertaining services that Vodafone Hungary offers its customers.”

Trade between Hungary and Ireland has grown by 20% over the last year with sales by Irish companies in Hungary valued at €150m.
