Xiam'S TECHNOLOGY HELPS LEAD INTERACTIVE TV IN AUSTRALIA
15th March, 2004
Xiam's technology partner, IDStxtra, has set Australia's Seven TV Network's interactive programming apart from its rivals with the deployment of the Xiam Media Platform.
The Xiam technology enables SMS and 'voice phone' voting polls to be displayed on TV screens in real-time alongside viewers' text message comments for the Seven TV show 'Sunrise Chat'.
The technology represents a first in Australia and cements IDStxtra as an innovative leader in the field of high-volume mass communication services.
"We're very proud of this achievement which really adds a great deal of value to the viewer's TV experience. Its uses within TV programming can be adapted to drive an entire program or to create interactive segments within a program," said Sam Galea, General Manager of Information Dialling Services.
